The Financial Times will be a supporter and media partner for the One World Media Fellowship this year. The FT will work with one of OWM’s 2022 Fellows, selected from a global open call.

The FT will support one film project to be hosted on its platforms, reaching an international audience of millions. Alongside the OWM Fellowship programme, the FT will offer additional mentoring and Executive Producer guidance, as well as cover post-production costs for the selected short documentary film.

The FT is looking for visually compelling, impactful stories that shed light on globally important issues. Could your story lead the news? Are you working on an investigation with exclusive access or previously unseen footage? Do you have a new way of explaining a topic that the rest of the world hasn't yet grasped? The FT is particularly interested in films that speak to issues around business, the economy, new technologies and climate which resonate with an international audience.

Juliet Riddell, head of new formats at the FT, said: “We're really excited to work with the OWM Fellowship for the first time. This will be a great opportunity for us to support a talented filmmaker with an important story to tell. It’s also an opportunity for a fellow to reach a wide and international audience on our website and social channels.”

Are you working on a story that reflects changes in the local economy, a story related to a new technology, or how climate change impacts the way people work? Apply to the Fellowship to be considered for this unique opportunity.
