Today, the Financial Times announces new roles for two of its most senior New York-based journalists as part of ongoing plans to upgrade its coverage of Wall Street and expand its reach in the United States.

FT promotes Fiona Spooner to MD of new consumer revenue group

The Financial Times has today appointed Fiona Spooner to the role of managing director, consumer revenue.  She will lead a newly created consumer revenue group, bringing together the teams responsible for B2C marketing, customer care and commercial development at the FT. 

Financial Times wins Overseas Press Club award for reporting on Wirecard

Today, the Overseas Press Club announced that the Financial Times team behind the years-long investigation into the German fintech group Wirecard are the winners of its Malcolm Forbes award for best international business news reporting. The judges credited the work of investigative reporter Dan McCrum, investigations editor Paul Murphy, and foreign correspondents Sam Jones and Olaf Storbeck in a category highlighting journalism that uncovers institutional corruption in business and government.
