FT Weekend will bring its signature blend of global insight, culture and conversation to New York City for the first time with the FT Weekend Festival: US, at Spring Studios on Saturday, 20 June 2026.

FT Weekend combines the trusted global news and analysis for which the Financial Times is renowned with award-winning lifestyle journalism across arts, culture and leisure. First launched in London in 2016, the FT Weekend Festival was conceived as the FT Weekend brought to life. Now in its fourth US edition, the festival builds on the success of its flagship London event, introducing this distinctive mix to New York audiences.

Across five stages – Big Ideas, Life & Culture, Tech & Future, HTSI and the Tasting Room – the programme will feature panels, interviews, tastings and performances. Attendees will also have opportunities to engage directly with FT writers and columnists, including editor Roula Khalaf, US managing editor Brooke Masters, and national editor and columnist Edward Luce, among others.

Speakers include John Lithgow, award-winning actor;  Omar Berrada, CEO of Manchester United Football Club;  and Celine Song, filmmaker and playwright, alongside influential authors, chefs, historians and business leaders.

Janine Gibson, FT Weekend editor, said: “New York is a natural home for the FT Weekend Festival – a global city at the centre of business, culture and ideas. We are excited to bring the festival here for the first time, connecting with US audiences. It reflects the energy and diversity that define both New York and FT Weekend.”

Beyond the stages, the festival will offer a curated selection of experiences, including:

  • Wine tastings led by FT wine correspondent and Master of Wine, Jancis Robinson
  • Live recordings and discussions from FT podcasts including The Economics Show and Unhedged
  • A festival bookshop in partnership with Barnes & Noble, with book signings
  • Live music and entertainment throughout the day

For global audiences, festival sessions will be streamed live and made available on demand via the FT’s digital platforms. For more information and to register for in-person or online access to the FT Weekend Festival, please visit: usftweekendfestival.live.ft.com/home
