Speaking at the Financial Times and IDA Ireland European Financial Forum 2022:

Micheál Martin, An Taoiseach (Prime Minister), Ireland: “There is rightly increased urgency and focus on the world’s decarbonisation pathway, and we must all step up, industry and the government. Firstly, and most importantly, because it is the right thing to do.”

Paschal Donohoe, Minister for Finance, Ireland: “One of the things we will be engaging with…is how we can ensure that we are investing in the right way, for a future that is going to be very different, but also giving confidence to everybody that that is being done in a sustainable and in a transparent way.”

Martin Shanahan, CEO, IDA Ireland: “I would like to reaffirm to you today that Ireland remains open for business, in, hopefully, a fast approaching post-Covid world. It is a new world that is incredibly dependent on digital skills, talent and transformation. Those countries, like Ireland, that recognise this reality will undoubtedly emerge stronger.”
