The Financial Times has won three awards at the The Press Awards 2025, which honour the best in national and regional journalism.
Public policy correspondent Laura Hughes won the award for Environment Journalist of the Year. Judges praised Hughes for “Exclusive, groundbreaking and original coverage” that was a “strong example of public interest journalism”.
Chief features writer Henry Mance was awardedBroadsheet Feature Writer of the Year. Judges commended Mance’s “first-class writing and the sort of deep dives into topics that make you forget the passing of time”.
Artificial intelligence editor Madhumita Murgia won the award for Science and Technology Journalist of the Year. Judges highlighted Murgia’s “sharp news copy and hugely compelling features writing, with a broad reach across business, health and human interest”.
