The Financial Times announces the launch of a digital print site in Athens this week, increasing the availability of the newspaper in Greece and allowing for same day distribution across the country for the first time. The newspaper will be available starting 5 October, printed by the Hellenic Distribution Agency using digital high speed inkjet web press technology.
Dominic Good, the FT’s publisher, EMEA, said: “Digital printing enables us to service locations that were previously impossible to reach at the start of the working day. The FT now has digital print operations in Cyprus, Malta and Greece, and the launch of our Athens site reflects our continued belief in a future for printed products alongside digital offerings.”
