Last week, the FT and Bocconi University hosted the second edition of the FTxBocconi Talent Challenge, a global competition which brings together students, early career professionals, academics and FT staff to tackle real business challenges in different fields.

The Financial Times has appointed international best-selling author Ruchir Sharma as a contributing editor and columnist with a focus on global economics. Sharma will write a fortnightly Monday column, having written occasionally for the FT since 2012.
The new services will provide investors with tools and content to understand the evolution of new themes in business and investment, from Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) to new digital financial instruments.
