Why did you join the FT?
I was fascinated by the FT after reading about the company’s history and culture, and watching FT videos on Youtube. More than a year later, I’m still fascinated!
What has surprised you the most about working at the FT?
What has surprised me most is the active role of the management board. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some of the FT board members during their visits to Manila, and they have been so genuine, humble and sincere in helping to address the daily challenges we face in our work. I’ve been working in my field for over a decade and I’m amazed at how much the FT empowers staff to excel and make a difference, which I haven’t seen elsewhere.
What do you like most about working here?
I'm part of an incredible team! I have an amazing boss who has a clear vision for Customer Services, reliable peers who support and mentor me in my learning and development, and colleagues who are passionate customer advocates. These individuals encourage and challenge me to be better every day.
What excites you most about your job in the FT’s Customer Services team?
We are serious about providing the best service to our readers and, because of that, we are constantly striving to improve and encouraged to think outside the box. All of our team members have a voice and their ideas are heard.
What have been your favourite event at the FT?
My favourite event (so far!) was the party we held last year to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the FT’s Manila operation. We had a huge party with an impressive talent show, great food and music.
