On February 14, the FT welcomed 40 children to its London headquarters as part of Bring Your Child To Work Day.
The FT partnered with Employees Matter to deliver an activity-filled programme for 8-11 year olds during February half term. The initiative is part of the FT’s wider efforts to promote inclusiveness at work and support working parents.
Activities included team-building exercises, a tour of the newsroom and the opportunity for children to create a personal edition of a newspaper.
They also participated in a coding session run by members of the FT technology team. Children used a specially-curated Scratch (programming language) project to generate headlines for their newspapers.
