The Banker recognises world’s best banks

Last night at The Banker’s Bank of the Year Awards Banco Santander was recognised as Global Bank of the Year. The awards ceremony, held in central London, was attended by senior executives from banks representing 144 countries.

Brian Caplen, editor of The Banker, said: “It is very important to recognise the achievements of the banking industry during challenging times. The Bank of the Year Awards recognises banks for serving customers and building good businesses, and the entries and winners this year have been of a very high calibre.”
