Six Financial Times reporters have been named in the inaugural 30 to Watch young journalists by MHP Communication Consultancy. Nominees had to be under 30 to be eligible for the awards, which recognise those who have contributed impressive, quality journalism and excelled in their careers so far. The FT journalists listed in the top 30 are (in alphabetical order):

- Sam Jones, hedge funds correspondent
- Masa Serdarevic, columnist
- Kiran Stacey, political correspondent
- Alexandra Stevenson, beyondbrics reporter
