As a leader in digital publishing, the FT is proud to support Internet Week New York as an official media partner for the second consecutive year.

The weeklong festival kicks off today with hundreds of web, media and technology focused events and discussions to continue through May 21. The festival will close with the 16th Annual Webby Awards, the leading international award honoring excellence on the internet, of which the FT is also a media partner. In this year’s Webby Awards, FT.com was named an Official Honoree for news website, and the FT A-List was an Official Honoree for business blog.

As part of our involvement with Internet Week NY, Rob Grimshaw, Managing Director of FT.com, will participate on the panel, “Innovation in Publishing: Old Techniques and New Frontiers,” which will explore the transition from old media to new media and the innovative ways in which print and digital properties can work together to promote the same goal. Grimshaw will be joined by Shafqat Islam, CEO, NewsCred. This session will take place on Wednesday, May 16, from 9:00-9:45am ET at the Internet Week HQ (82 Mercer Street, NYC). To attend, register here. To watch live, tune in here on Wednesday.
