FT Weekend today announces a partnership with Alan Titchmarsh’s Saturday show on Classic FM, the UK’s largest national commercial radio station. The show, which has been broadcast since January 2012 and reaches over a million listeners every week, will feature the latest news from FT Weekend alongside lifestyle features from the FT Magazine and Life & Arts, FT Money and House & Home sections.

Caroline Daniel, editor of FT Weekend, said: “The Classic FM audience is a very good fit for FT Weekend’s intelligent readership. We offer a vast range of cultural features and interviews that are smart, relevant and sometimes irreverant, taking readers to places beyond the business focus of the weekday edition. I think Alan Titchmarsh’s Saturday programme will help bring our lifestyle and arts coverage to life on air.”

The partnership will initially run for 16 weeks starting October 13. The Alan Titchmarsh show is broadcast between 9am to 12pm every Saturday on 100-102 FM and online in the UK.

FT Weekend also partners with Jazz FM’s Welcome to the Weekend with Michael Wilson on Friday evenings at 5.30pm to 7pm.
