The FT is delighted to be supporting London Twestival 2011 in aid of Centrepoint, a charity giving homeless young people a future.

Twestival (or Twitter Festival) uses social media for social good by connecting communities offline on a single day to highlight a great cause and have a fun event. It’s the largest global grassroots social media fundraising initiative to date, raising $1.2 million for 137 nonprofits around the world since 2009.

Twestival’s Jack Gavigan said: “We’re delighted and excited that the Financial Times has chosen to sponsor Twestival London. As well as enabling us to put on an even better event, the FT’s backing means that even more money will go to Centrepoint to help homeless young people in the capital”.

This year’s Twestival London takes place on 24th March. Follow the event on Twitter: @LDNTwestival.
