7 July 2020: FT Strategies, the Financial Times’ boutique consulting firm, announces its first week-long digital immersion programme to help other publishers kick-start their reader revenue business models.

Digital Immersion is a free, five-day, immersive programme, funded by the Google News Initiative as part of their Digital Growth Programme. FT Strategies will work with publishers in Europe and help them on their journey towards sustainable digital reader revenue. It will feature a series of inspirational sessions, facilitated group discussions and guided activities to help drive reader engagement and build future-proof strategies.

“COVID-19 continues to have a significant impact on the media industry, and it has become critical for publishers to build sustainable reader-revenue models to survive,” said Tara Lajumoke, managing director for FT Strategies. “FT Strategies has the knowledge and experts available to help other media organisations develop their products, expand their business and improve their readers’ online experience and this free immersive programme is one way we will do that.”

The interactive virtual programme is aimed at small-to-medium sized news publishers. The first session will be delivered in English and run from 27 July to 1 August.

Digital Immersion is available in six languages: German, Italian, Spanish, French, Polish and English. Publishers interested in participating in the July (English) programme can apply here.
