29 Jan 2020: The FT has partnered with social enterprise PressPad to support young journalists across the UK who are considering internships in the capital. 

PressPad matches interns with journalists in London who act as hosts and mentors for completing placements. The initiative is designed to encourage greater diversity across the media industry and break down some of the barriers to entry for aspiring young journalists. 

FT deputy managing editor Abbie Scott said: “We are committed to reflecting more diverse voices and perspectives at the FT and are delighted to be partnering with PressPad. This initiative levels the playing field and gives opportunities to aspiring journalists across the UK who would normally be disadvantaged by high accommodation costs in London”.
