The Financial Times has sent a team of world class journalists to the World Economic Forum in Davos this week. Led by editor Lionel Barber, the team of journalists will provide readers with the latest news and analysis, through print and online coverage, scrutinising how world leaders are planning to improve the state of the world under the theme of ‘Shared Norms for the New Reality’.

Lionel Barber has lectured widely on US foreign policy, transatlantic relations, European security and monetary union in the US and Europe. As editor, Lionel has interviewed many of the world’s leaders in business and politics, including; President Barack Obama and Premier Wen Jiabao of China.

Francesco Guerrera was appointed US finance and business editor for the Financial Times in March 2008, having worked as US business editor since May 2006. Areas of focus at Davos: Francesco will cover the US financial sector.

Patrick Jenkins covers major global banks with a particular focus on Europe, as well as leading the FT’s strong global financial services reporting team.

Gillian Tett has played a significant role in covering the financial crisis. Her 2009 book Fool’s Gold: How Unrestrained Greed Corrupted a Dream, Shattered Global Markets and Unleashed a Catastrophe, was widely revered throughout the world and won the Spear’s Book Award for the financial book of 2009.

Chris Giles has been the FT’s economics editor since September 2004. He leads the reporting of economics in the newspaper and on FT.com. Areas of focus at Davos: Chris will be focusing on the global economic recovery prospects; euro sovereign risks; austerity Vs growth; resource scarcity and food security.

Gideon Rachman is a world renowned commentator on international affairs. His recently published book: Zero-sum world: Politics, power and prosperity after the crash, looks at issues that have affected the global economy.
Areas of focus at Davos: Gideon’s particular interests include the EU meltdown; the euro; US and China rivalry; threat to globalisation.

Martin Wolf is the FT’s leading economist, he has written in depth reports on the crisis and a book on Fixing Global Finance. Areas of focus at Davos: Martin will be reporting on the pace of global recovery; the eurozone crisis; emerging market growth and China and India, at the WEF.
