The Financial Times has released an India version of its Android App, available on a range of large screen Android tablets and small screen phones. The app can be downloaded by searching for Financial Times in the Android Market and offers free access to home page stories, exclusively in India.

The Android App follows the successful release of the FT India Web App in November 2011 for iPad and iPhone. It features tailored Financial Times content covering the latest Indian and international business news and analysis. The app is customised to highlight news from the beyondbrics blog, business education reports, the A-list commentary column, the Alphaville blog and Luxury 360, the FT’s online hub for coverage of the luxury goods industry.

Key features of the app include regular content updates and offline access, automatically storing content to read when you don’t have signal. It is customised for Android devices, offering a quick, seamless experience and intuitive navigation.
