September 13, London: Now in its fourth year, the FT Weekend Festival 2019 drew nearly 4,000 people to the grounds of Kenwood House to hear from leading experts and commentators in arts, music, literature, food & drink, business and technology.

FT Weekend editor Alec Russell said: ‘'To see several thousand FT Weekend readers flocking to packed tents to hear their favourite writers debate and enthuse about the ideas of our age was truly inspiring. The programme reflected the breadth and, I like to think, sparkle of the FT Weekend. Our annual display of live journalism is a tribute to innovation and collaboration with our commercial colleagues. Next year will be bigger!"

Angela Mackay, global publisher of FT Live and managing director of FT Asia Pacific, said: “This year’s festival has been a hallmark of success for the FT Live team with outstanding double-digit growth in ticket and sponsorship revenue. Building on the success of previous years, FT Weekend Festival has firmly established its place in our B2C events portfolio.”

With more than 100 speakers and 50 hours of content in a day, the festival has grown to include nine stages, an exhibitors’ village and twenty food and drink stands.
