  • Financial Times appoints Darcy Keller Global Communications Director

    Keller brings extensive media and communications experience to the role and has held a number of senior positions at the FT since joining in 2007, including deputy director of global communications, head of the global press office and head of communications in the Americas. Since 2010, she has served on the company’s Senior Management and Digital Executive teams, responsible for the FT’s digital and mobile strategy and growth in recent years.

    Ridding said: “In her six years at the Financial Times, Darcy has been instrumental in growing its global reputation for leadership and innovation in publishing, embodied by the success of the FT’s metered access model and its award-winning web app. Her broad communications experience—across corporate, internal, media relations and social media—and digital expertise will be essential as the FT continues to navigate an increasingly complex media landscape and accelerate its digital business.”

  • Financial Times hosts 125th anniversary party in London

    On June 20th, the Financial Times celebrated its 125th anniversary with an exclusive party in London. Hosted by FT Group CEO John Ridding and FT editor Lionel Barber, the party attracted more than 300 leaders in politics, finance, business, luxury and media.

    Against the magnificent backdrop of the City of London, FT’s original stomping ground, guests were treated to an evening laced with elements from the FT’s heritage. Features included everything from paper boys and illustrations of printing presses to tablets with the FT’s award-winning web app.

  • Financial Times offers education customers royalty free republishing rights

    The licence grants accredited schools or universities the rights to republish the text of FT articles in either print or digital format to complement their curriculum. The FT is inviting applications from any school or university worldwide and will initially select 20 academic institutions to pioneer this new approach. Licences will be awarded based on the quality of the application.

This licence is designed to help educators use articles from the Financial Times in the creation of new learning resources.”
