The Financial Times today announces the launch of a new video technology platform and a dedicated video hub on FT.com. Users will experience improved navigation while the platform will also allow greater targeting of relevant content for advertisers and use of video on a broader range of mobile devices, including the iPad.

The Financial Times and IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, have announced the shortlist for the 2010 FT Sustainable Banking Awards. The Awards, now in their fifth year, were created to recognise banks and other financial institutions that have shown leadership and innovation in integrating social, environmental and corporate governance considerations into their operations.
This year the nominees were selected from among 156 entries from 110 institutions across 44 countries. Three categories – Achievement in Basic Needs Financing, Banking at the Base of the Pyramid, and Sustainable Investor of the Year – were open to non-banking financial institutions as well as banks.
The Financial Times today announced the appointment of Caroline Daniel as editor of FT Weekend. She will take up her new role on 1 June in addition to her current role as assistant editor.
Daniel, who joined the FT in 1999, most recently held the post of comment and analysis editor. Prior to this she was comment editor and also White House correspondent, based in Washington D.C. She has also been the FT’s correspondent in Chicago and the IT correspondent during the dot-com bubble.
