
Finola McDonnell
Chief Communications and Marketing Officer
Finola McDonnell is the chief communications and marketing officer at the Financial Times, based in London. She leads the organisation’s global strategy across brand and partnerships, communications and public affairs, and creative services.
Prior to joining the FT in 2018, McDonnell worked as vice president of communications and marketing for CNBC International in London. Before that, she served as a director of communications at Business Europe in Brussels, the EU’s largest business lobby group, and head of public affairs at the Irish Business and Employers’ Confederation (IBEC) in Dublin.
She began her career in the non-profit sector as a social policy specialist, focusing on advocacy for increased investment in adult literacy programmes. McDonnell is a trustee of the FT’s financial literacy charity, FT FLIC, and Citizens Advice.
