Alec Russell, FT Weekend Editor

Alec was previously the FT’s news editor, comment and analysis editor, world news editor and the Johannesburg bureau chief. He has covered 9-11 attacks and the War in Iraq as well as the end of Apartheid. Russell was stationed in Bucharest from the Romanian revolution until 1993, covering the Croatian and Bosnian wars and the fall of the Soviet Union.

Jane Owen, Deputy editor

Jane Owen is the deputy editor of FT Weekend. Before that she was the editor of FT House and Home. Over the years Jane has written several books, presented prime time TV including BBC2’s Gardens Through Time and Time Team’s live broadcast from Buckingham Palace. In 2010 she won a gold medal at the Chelsea Flower Show for her rainforest garden.

Tom Robbins, Travel Editor

Tom has been travel editor since June 2010 and covers all aspects of travel, with a particular interest in winter sports.
